I must say mine was! THE RACE WAS SUPER AWESOME, MUDDY, CHALLENGING, ANNOYING, or in other words, an emotional roller coaster...
I somehow always manage to be the weirdest one in atleast one picture taken.
While I didn't nail my goal pace at all (54:56 or something was my time--about 4 minutes off!!) I had a lot of fun and I'm not really worried about that true cross country race.
The beginning bothered me a lot. My inner competitive girl was kicked into over-drive because I was so frusfrated by all the people who started way ahead and it was a very, very slow start. Weaving around people for the first mile made me so angry, but I needed to remind myself. Get the stick out of my butt and remember that 99.99 percent of people here today are doing this for FUN.
The middle part was relatively easy. I was sticking to my goal pace most of the time and was even under my goal pace for a lot of the middle miles! Climbing up rivers at first wasn't as challenging as I remembered, but then I remembered there were a lot more than just the first three...that's when the pain hit me.
What REALLY hit me was the last mile. I just hit the wall. We just got done going up a smaller river but we had to go up a slope for the longest ways (it felt like). I let my mind take over and gave up mentally. The slopey weird hill (the smallest slopiest one kick my butt) majorly kicked my behind. It's okay though.
My Grandma and Mom were cheering me on, along with the other XC parents!! My teammates each had a great race too!
Overall it was really fun race (I'm not sore..yet.) & a really good Saturday spent RUNNING and shopping in the city.
I went to the Nike Factory Store....Oh.Em. Gee. In love. I'll give a review about my new Nike Training Shoes soon-- I got the Nike LUNARMTRL+.

<<<And these awesome stylish, high top shoes. My mom actually spotted and found these for me. She is a fashionable gal. :)
I also tried Clif Shot Blocks for the first time today too...like candy. I ate the whole package. Shopping and running 7 miles in ONE day DOES require energy ;)
And since we were in the city, we got to go to whole foods... Oh yes. I have my years supply of spinach and healthy food in the house now.
I'm too spoiled.
Hopefully all of you had a great Saturday and if you were racing, had the BEST time ever and hopefully PRd. :)
On a completely random thought, I'm thinking about getting my bangs cut like this... hmmm.

Do you like shopping at Whole Foods? If not, where do you normally buy groceries?
-If we're in the city, we will go to Whole Foods. I love Whole Foods-- but it is a little expensive and far away to drive. HyVee is our normal grocery store most of the time!
Do you run in Nike's?
-Always have.
What look for you: bang vs. no bangs?
-Bang Girl. If you haven't noticed yet!
What are you looking forward to for Sunday?
-Sleeping in! And getting my homework DONE.
