1. The musical is done and I'm really sad about it. Taking my Dorothy dress out of the closet was hard. Not seeing my musical people every night for 3 and half hours all doing what we love is hard. But I am SO GLAD we pulled out off a great performances all THREE times in a ROW! Let me put the worst picture up of myself because it makes me laugh! (below)
My little cousin Kylee number 1 fan!
All the leads.. I had so much fun!
2. I made Varsity Cheerleading Squad with my BFFS (including this girl). We're a little weird sometimes.. THUMBS UP FOUR WRESTLING CHEERLEADING.
3. My amazing and supportive grandparents celebrated their anniversary TODAY! 50 years of going strong. I love them so much and they are my number 1 fans in everything I do. We celebrated tonight just by going over to their house and just hanging out with them. Nothing too fancy, that's how we roll:)
3. I got my first real pay check from my real job today...whoooohoo!
4. And last but not least, I am back to TRAINING!! I'm lifting 2 days/ week with my track coach (which his workouts are amazing at making you sore) and running 6 days/ week. Right now I'm sitting at 30 miles a week and not thinking I will go over that any more. My first run after taking some time off was a 5 miler at 6'52 average pace. It feels so good to be back training and working out after taking time off. It shows rest REALLY does help,, please believe me when I say this, I'm the type of runner who lives to run every.single.day so when I say it, you better believe it!
I did, however, find out some sad news. I had a stress fracture on my growth plate in my foot back in the later part of April, so about 7 months ago, and had about 3 months of recovery time. My foot, after it came out of the cast and boot, still has bothered me here and there ever since. Especially when I walk on it. Not really when I run too much which is weird?!?! We decided to get things looked at and I have a fibrous stress fracture, which in time will require surgery when it gets bad enough. I hope and pray there is some way this can be healed, but in the mean time, I'm just doing what I can with it because there really is nothing you can do. It's a weird feeling to have-- your foot is a ticking time bomb kind of and it worries me a lot. If any of you runners are reading, I'd love to hear any and all advice you have for me. :)
